Given the overall picture seems a bit weird and the two of them appear to have just awakened up, we're not exactly sure why. He fulfilled his wish, nevertheless, and ended up in the picture on the right post-operative. We can only hypothesise about the type of surgery he was supposed to be recuperating from.
This is a really considerate ask. Her hair was all in her fiancé's face, the girlfriend in this picture noted. She thus just asked that a few threads be taken out so that she might be seen clearly. She instead developed an oddly disproportionately small neck. It does the same thing, we guess, but really it seems like it would have required a lot more effort than shaving some hair.
