Es dauerte über vier Stunden in zwei Sitzungen bis Sinbad der Perserkater von seinem verfilzten Fell befreit war nachdem ihn die Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago aufnahm. Er musste neu lernen sicher zu laufen weil mehr als zweieinhalb Kilo Fell entfernt wurden. Elliot Serrano wollte Sinbad ursprünglich nur vorübergehend aufnehmen entschied sich dann jedoch für die Adoption weil der Kater mit seinem sanften Wesen sofort überzeugte und inzwischen sichtbar aufblüht.
